In the world of adult video, so many different categories exist (gonzo, fetish, BDSM, DP, 3-into, etc.) that the unwary couple in search of a little bit of video heat can easily find themselves confronted with material that will produce exactly the opposite effect. Luckily, there is one standby director with whom you'll never have this sort of experience - Andrew Blake. This gentleman's films, though explicit, bring to mind the term "erotica" over "hardcore." From his groundbreaking films "Night Trips, Night Trips II," and "Secrets," Mr. Blake has delivered consistently dreamy and edgy fare, while introducing the world to the likes of Tera Patrick and Aria Giovanni. Blake uses film over video, which softens and gives depth to each scene and he makes liberal use of slow motion, lingering over his gorgeous subjects for what seems like an eternity. No fast cutting here and, oh yes, he uses ONLY the most attractive casts (both men and women alike). Seldom, if ever, for example, do you find someone as ugly as a Ron Jeremy in any of Blake's productions. No knock against Mr. Jeremy, but these films are high-gloss, "beautiful people" only. Our only complaint is that most of his films of late have consisted entirely of girl/girl action, which while lovely, gets old pretty fast in our bedroom.

Luckily, "Aroused" peppers its scenes with enough heterosexual sex to keep even the most jaded porn lover happy, while knocking our socks off with one of the most amazing girl/girl/girl scenes we've ever viewed (the very first scene). Granted, Tera Patrick is involved, which almost guarantees molten lava, but Mr. Blake uses all of the participants sparingly, building to an amazing climax we won't spoil here. Dahlia Grey looks unbelievable throughout the entire film and is typical of most Blake subjects (natural and buxom), while Inari Vachs makes an appearance that had us hitting the pause button.

In short, "Aroused" is everything we like in adult film; great looking cast, high production values, interesting music, and plenty of heat. Come to think of it, this one might just deserve a spot on our top 10 favorites.

And so were first treated to the shimmeringly shiny one explaining her passion for girl on girl celluloid stuff, just before she and Krystal Steal demonstrate just how hot two girls indulging in each other can be. Adams then goes all Spielberg on us; pitching her feature somewhere between Raging Bull and Raging Horn as she directs Melanie Jagger and Steven French slugging it out, then in, then out again, in the (boxing) ring.

The third installment is where the extreme close-up title finally rings truer than a kick in the bell end, as we join Miss. Adams in the shower for a steamy session of hide the buzzing toy. Dripping with warm water, pouting to the camera and bringing herself off if you are an Adams fan, then this is probably where you will finish.

Finishing, or at least skipping, here may actually be wise and scene four novelty offering is by far the weakest of the lot. Sitting somewhat uneasily with the general high standard of performing porn-miesters, Rebeccas First Timeц░б╡ has the overly busty brunette dancing, sucking and giving her companion what must be at least one comforting tit-wank in a lapdance club.

The penultimate pleaser is a brunette/blonde combo with Adams and said brown-locks exchanging kisses in another shower scene that has the oh-so-soapy sweeties retiring to the locker room to watch August and Mario Possi doing all matter of unspeakable things.

Adams then turns voyeur as she watches the fitting finale between Nicole Sheridan and Voodoo; Niccie providing the discs most vocal and rampant performance, along with some pretty impressive deep-throating as Sunrise friggs herself off.

With scenes interspersed with chitchat from the undoubted star of the show, you certainly know a little more about Sunrise, and indeed yourself come the fade to black.
